Patient Participation Group

Welcome to the Elmhurst Practice Patient Participation Group webpage. We are a group of patients who together form the Patient Participation Group entitled 'Friends of Elmhurst'.

The group is for the benefit of patients of the surgery. Currently there are many consultations taking place in the way the practice can efficiently deliver it's services.

  • Do you want to be part of the PPG and participate actively in putting forward your views and sharing your experiences of the service and helping to improve it?
  • Are you aware of various health and care services available in Redbridge?
  • Are you aware of out of hours and emergency services availability and how to contact them?
  • What improvements would you like at your surgery?

We are working with the practice to help shape the future and ensure that this practice continues to excel and help us to get what we want and need with regards to our healthcare. We want to make other patients aware of what is happening in the NHS and the constraints it puts on how the practice can operate, whilst helping the practice achieve various targets that are placed on them.

We have some members who work, some who are retired, some with families, some without and we aim to be a fair representation of a cross section of all patients. We have all signed a confidentiality agreement but we DO NOT have access to any medical records.

We have a notice board within reception at the practice and will put any relevant information on it and would welcome any feedback, comments or suggestions.

We are always looking to recruit new members so if you would like to join our Patient Participation Group please email billwoodwardwoodward@btinternet.com or chandra18@gmail.com

Alternatively if you do not have access to email you can download the form here and drop it into the surgery.

Patient Reference Group

In addition to the PPG, practices were requested by the Department of Health, to set up a virtual Patient Representation Group ("PRG") you can have your say and be part of a large group that represents the many and varied views of the broad demographic range of our patient population. From time to time we will ask you questions or invite you to take the patient survey.

If you are happy to be part of this group and to be contacted occasionally by email please click the link opposite to open the sign-up form and complete all the fields.
